A memorial ceremony usually takes place sometime after the funeral, often a few weeks and many people today, choose to have both a funeral and a memorial service.
Memorial ceremonies do not have the same constraints as a crematorium or graveyard and so they can often be more relaxed. In fact, memorial ceremonies are often more celebratory in tone.
Sometimes families will choose to have a small, private funeral with only immediate family members present followed by a memorial ceremony, which is open to the wider family and friends.
I can help you to create a personal and memorable memorial service that will capture the unique personality and spirit of your loved one. Memorial ceremonies can be held almost anywhere... at home, in a park, a favourite spot, or even in the pub. It's completely up to you.
