On the Shetland Isles
There lived a fair lass

Coming out of gymnastics

But alas the braw maiden
Didn’t notice this lad

But faint heart never won
a fair lady so pretty
So he just went and joined
The gymnastics committee
And without time lord magic

In no time they were pals
Making each other laugh
And soon they discovered,
they liked the same things,

And their mad weekly strife!

No forgetting that

They went together like…

Spider-Man and Peter Parker
Iron Man & his arc reactor
Like the Duke of Wellington
And the cone on his heed
They’re a perfect match
Perfect indeed!
As the years flew by
And their love only grew
They thought the time right
To say “Aye Do”!
So with the help of a rucksack
And Johnny Mac’s show
They agreed to get married
And spend lots of dough!
But just where to celebrate
That was the question
So it was on to “The Google”
For some waddin suggestions
When up popped a video
In wee Alloway toon
Of a gorgeous hotel named…
‘The Brig O Doon’
From the very first glimpse
They were both in their glory
A hotel wi a brig
An an awfy guid story
Of a witch that gave chase
On a dark stormy nicht
An a drunk man on a horse
Who got an awfy big fright!
That’s the one said Andrea!
And Stephen agreed
So they got out their cheque book
And booked it wi speed
By the time they were finished
They were both on a high
And couldn’t wait for their big day
The 6th of July!
Their friends were invited
And the family were gagging
To help them both celebrate
Their big Ayrshire waddin
The flowers were ordered
So were the kilts
The dress was in hiding
And the excitement built!
And now today is your day
And here you both stand
Together forever
Hand in hand
You’ve promised your love
Your lives and your heart
You’ve vowed to be thegither
